Story
I'm making a difference by fundraising for Children's Cancer Institute, a cause that is close to my heart.
Every year more than 625 Australian children will be diagnosed with cancer. Every week nearly three Australian children will die of cancer.
Sixty years ago, cancer was nearly always a death sentence for a child. Now eight out of ten children survive and medical research made that difference. Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer and their role is vital. Because, despite the progress, cancer still kills more children than any other disease.
Childhood cancer is hugely complex – but Children’s Cancer Institute is confident that with the brightest brains, the best facilities and the greatest determination, they can cure our kids.
